About Us

Firstlings provides 24-hour quality care for elderly ladies or gentleman in single rooms who are aged 65 or above who may have suffered the disabilities of stroke / arthritis or any illness that has affected their mobility or ability to look after themselves and their homes any longer without assistance.

Accommodation

• - Accommodation is available for 32 residents all in single rooms
• - All bedrooms have recently been refurbished with high quality furnishings

We have thirteen single bedrooms, of which six have En-suite facilities. Situated on the ground floor are three toilets, two baths both with hoists, dining room, communal lounge with a television and video, sitting room with a music centre and an organ, conservatory that opens onto decking and two quiet alcoves with seating for four in each.

Staffing levels:

Five care-staff including a senior member, cook and a kitchen assistant, laundry assistant and one to two domestics on duty in the morning, four care-staff including one senior member in the afternoon, three care-staff including a senior and a kitchen assistant for the evening and three awake care-staff for the night shift. Staff are trained to National Vocational standards.
