Facilities

The home has 4 lounges and a dining room together with a treatment room available to ensure residents privacy. There are 4 bathrooms and 3 shower rooms, which are specially equipped to allow for assisted bathing.

There are regular visits by a hairdresser, chiropodist, occupational therapist and optician and a local dentist attends the home by appointment.

A doctor’s surgery is available locally and District Nurses call as and when required. The Cambridge County Council Mobile Library Service calls at Hardwick Dene on a regular basis.

There are regular weekly visits by a musician, together with other weekly entertainments and other organised activities.

Access to religious facilities and inter-denominational religious visits are also arranged.

Catering

There is a purpose built kitchen with up-to-date equipment ensuring the food and drink provided at Hardwick Dene is of a high quality and prepared in a clean and hygienic area with all meals carefully prepared by our catering staff. Meals are interesting and varied and residents are offered choices each day with special diets including vegetarian catered for.

Therapeutic Techniques and Arrangements for their Supervision

Any therapeutic techniques required or requested by our Residents can be arranged via the Manager and in liaison with the Resident’s advocate. This could include (but is not limited to) Aromatherapy, Relaxation Techniques, Yoga, Progressive Mobility, Reflexology, Massage, Music and Mobility.
