Activities

Weald Hall is able to provide a variety of ways that Residents can engage in the enjoyment of social activities, hobbies and leisure interests. Residents are consulted individually in relation to their interests and wishes regarding social activities as part of the Service User Planning process. The range of activities available are; Bingo, Armchair Exercises, Reminiscence Sessions, Music & Movement, Dancing, Scrabble, Ball Games, Target Throwing, Quizzes, Dominoes, Bonfire Night Parties, Christmas Parties etc.

• - On a regular basis the Home holds a Christmas party at which professional entertainment is provided.
• - Barbecues in the summer, Halloween parties and celebrations at Easter have also become a regular event.
• - We have a qualified activities organiser to provide and organise activities suitable for dementia suffering residents. TV's, sound systems and a range of games and books are also provided.
• - Any therapeutic techniques required or requested by our Residents can be arranged via the Manager and in liaison with the Resident's advocate, e.g. Aromatherapy, Relaxation Techniques, Yoga, Progressive Mobility, Reflexology, Massage, Manipulation and Music and Mobility.
